Getting Here
Old Datça sits at the heart of the Datça Peninsula, a few minutes from the town centre. Air, road and sea options are on this page — for exact timetables, please check official channels.
Ways to arrive
By air
The nearest airport is Dalaman (about 160 km; 2.5–3 hours by road). Milas–Bodrum Airport is an alternative; from there you can continue via Bodrum by ferry. Transfers and bus connections run from both airports to Datça.
By sea — the Bodrum ferry
Car ferries run between Bodrum and Datça; the crossing takes about 90 minutes. The ferry docks at Körmen (Karaköy) Harbour, roughly 10 km from the town centre. Frequency varies by season; check the operator for the current timetable.
By bus
Direct intercity coaches connect major cities to Datça, and connections via Marmaris are frequent. Minibuses run between Marmaris and Datça, with Muğla Metropolitan Municipality lines serving the district.
By road
The road to Datça comes through Marmaris: about 70 km of winding peninsula road with gulf views on both sides. It is narrow in places; daytime driving is both easier and more scenic.
The last step to the village
Old Datça is about 3 km from Datça town centre — a short drive or dolmuş (shared minibus) ride away.
The village's narrow, bougainvillea-draped stone lanes are best explored on foot — leave your car at the village entrance and fall into the rhythm of the streets.
